Following record sales during 2018 and with ambitious plans for further growth throughout 2019, Excelpoint the North East-based no-code software innovator is delighted to announce the appointment of four new members of staff to further strengthen its team.
Loraine Henderson has joined Excelpoint as Marketing and Customer Engagement Manager. Also joining the sales and marketing team is Costner Brown. Costner has worked for Excelpoint during holiday periods whilst studying for a degree at Leeds Beckett University. He joins the department as a Sales and Marketing Executive and will be responsible for supporting both the sales and marketing activities across the business.
On the technical side, Sarah Orton has joined as a Business Consultant responsible for the development of Excelpoint’s no-code software to deliver customer-specific automated business systems. Sarah joins the team after spending over three years as a Regional Sub-Unit Support Officer responsible for managing the Army Reserves recruitment process for Newton Aycliffe and Newcastle. Prior to this, Sarah was a telecoms technician supporting EE call centres and data centres with responsibility for telephone, network connection and structure cabling. In her spare time, she is a vehicle mechanic for the Army Reserves and has completed her first year of an HND in Business at Bishop Auckland College.
Caine Longstaff has commenced an apprenticeship with Excelpoint through the apprenticeship supplier Baltic. Caine works within the consultancy team also responsible for the development of customer-specific no-code software systems. Caine has worked as a web developer and has studied for A levels at Durham 6th Form Centre. He has a passion for computers and anything technical and has the ambition to become a no-code software developer.
The new recruits are all based at Excelpoint’s head office in Aycliffe Business Park.
Commenting on her appointment, Loraine Henderson said: “I am thrilled to be joining such a dynamic customer-focused business. I originally joined the Excelpoint team as a marketing consultant to support them in the implementation of a new marketing strategy. After only two months of consultancy, I felt so at home with the team and realised the exciting opportunities ahead for Excelpoint. I didn’t hesitate to accept the offer of a permanent role from Managing Director Ian Brown. I’m looking forward to an exciting future working with the team and helping them to continue to achieve success.”
Ian Brown, Managing Director of Excelpoint, commented: “Following a sustained period of growth, we took the decision to expand our technical team enabling us to offer customers an unprecedented level of system development and service. With ambitious growth plans for 2019 which include establishing the Excelpoint brand as a key player in the software sector and growth in new sectors, we also took the decision to expand our sales and marketing department. We have made four outstanding appointments for Excelpoint. All of them will play a key role in realising our business growth strategy, and the appointments will add a wealth of experience and resources to the business.”
